TM launches connectivity-cum-entertainment solution for hospitality industry

TELEKOM Malaysia Berhad (TM) has launched a business solution for the hospitality industry, targeted at buildings with high tenancy rates, particularly hotels.

The Hospitality Entertainment Solution is a package comprising an In-Building Broadband Solution (IBS), TM’s IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) service HyppTV, and a call centre service, the company said in a statement.

The solution is also aimed at retreat owners, resort owners and operators, hospitals, apartments, condominiums and any high tenancy buildings that require wired/ wireless Internet access and uninterrupted TV viewing, TM said.

“With the Hospitality Entertainment Solution, our subscribers can focus more on their core daily activities, which is hosting their guests, and leave the technical operations of their entertainment offerings to us,” said Azizi A. Hadi, executive vice president of TM’s small and medium enterprise (SME) business unit.

The Hospitality Entertainment Solution offers businesses 60 IPTV channels to select from, seven Free To Air (FTA) channels, 53 premium channels such as Travel Channel HD, HyppSports HD, SCM Legend and SyFy HD amongst others.

The solution was launched at the Klang Valley leg of TM SME BizFest 2013, which is being held for the second consecutive year, at the Sunway Convention Centre in Petaling Jaya.

SME Corp is the official event endorser, and NAZA, Lelong.my, Microsoft, RSH Malaysia and KTM Bikes Malaysia are partners.

TM SME BizFest 2013, which was held earlier in Johor, is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants from the SME business community in Malaysia, TM claimed.
