Acronis rolls out new cloud partner programme

SINGAPORE-headquartered data protection company Acronis has announced a new cloud partner programme which it said was designed to accelerate cloud data protection services revenue with a subscription model for service providers, distributors and cloud resellers.

The Acronis Partner Programme for Cloud is an extension of the Acronis Global Partner Programme, the company said in a statement.

“We’ve taken our vast expertise in managed services and built a best-in-class partner programme for service providers that extends our global partner programme and makes it easier than ever for partners to move to the cloud,” said Steve Goh (pic above), Acronis vice president of Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets.

“We are 100% focused on the cloud partner model. Our goal is to bring thousands of new service provider partners and cloud resellers onboard worldwide in 2016,” he added.

The new programme provides solutions, resources, initiatives and incentives to help partners profit from the huge market growth predicted for cloud data protection services, which include backup, disaster recovery and file sync and share.

According to IDC, the Data Protection & Disaster Recovery software market will grow to US$8.1 billion by 2019, it added.

The new programme supports any deployment model, including service provider-hosted, Acronis-hosted and hybrid, and any business model with licensing flexibility, Acronis said.

This includes turnkey cloud data protection services with minimal integration, that are quick to deploy and easy to use, as well as offerings that are more deeply integrated into partner technology and services portfolios.

The Acronis Partner Program for Cloud uses multiple tiers to distinguish and reward a partner’s sales performance, certification commitment and marketing collaboration.

Incentives include stackable profit margins, incremental margins for deal registration, rebates and incremental accelerators.

The programme also features simplified partner on-boarding, free web-based sales tools and enablement programmes, technical training, marketing programmes and demand generation support, as well as co-op and market development fund programmes.
