Adyen appoints Ben Wong as general manager, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong 

• Joined Adyen in 2016 in a technical role

Adyen, the global financial technology platform of choice for leading businesses, has announced the appointment of Ben Wong (pic) as general manager for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. In this new role, Wong will oversee the company’s commercial operations in the region, focusing on growth strategies and strengthening partnerships in key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

A native of Singapore, Wong joined Adyen in 2016 in a technical role, where he acted as a technology consultant, providing strategic counsel to enterprises when the payments industry was still in its early stages. Since transitioning to sales in 2017, Wong has led the company to success across the retail, eCommerce, and hospitality sectors. His technical expertise, combined with a deep understanding of the market and merchants' needs, has enabled him to guide commercial teams in delivering cross-channel payment excellence to businesses in Singapore.

Before joining Adyen, Wong spent five years working in fintech, information technology, and project management. His experience in previous organisations helped him build a strong foundation in technical expertise and problem-solving within the rapidly evolving payments industry.
