AmBank to promote cashless payments solution via JomPAY

• Public can payment for land tax, strata through JomPAY
• Wll ease existing reconciliation issues, greater efficiency 

AmBank has partnered with Pejabat Tanah and Galian Melaka (PTGM) to offer a simpler and more convenient banking experience via JomPAY. 

In a statement, the bank said this will facilitate the collection process for PTGM which will be channeled individually via the respective Pejabat Tanah and Daerah Negeri Melaka.

It added that the collaboration with JomPAY would ease the existing reconciliation issues and provide greater efficiency as well as accessibility within PTGM. 

Additionally, this collaboration will enable the public to make payment of their land tax and strata through JomPAY via internet banking, mobile banking and most ATMs all over Malaysia, AmBank said.

Raja Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz (pic), managing director, wholesale banking, AmBank Group said, “With this partnership, I also look forward to other state agencies in Melaka to follow suit in exploring this solution and be on board with us soon, which will, in turn, help boost their efficiency and turnaround time,” she said.

AmBank said it has also secured the opening of current accounts from the Land Offices in the district of Alor Gajah, Jasin and Melaka Tengah, where all collections can now be transferred seamlessly to the State Treasury Office.

JomPAY provides a one-stop centre for the public to make payments electronically anytime, anywhere and without any transaction fee which provides added convenience, accessibility, and flexibility to the contributors.
