Anisha Iyer joins OMD Malaysia as managing director

OMD Malaysia has appointed Anisha Iyer (pic) as the agency’s managing director. In her new role, Iyer is tasked with elevating the agency’s digital capabilities and ensuring the teams continue to harness the network’s regional and global momentum for their clients in Malaysia.
The appointment is effective immediately and Iyer will report into Ranga Somanathan, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Singapore & Malaysia, as well as Stephen Li, CEO of OMD APAC.
Iyer brings over 14 years of experience from the agency, client and tech side of the media and marketing landscape, having worked in the US, India and most recently Southeast Asia, based out of Kuala Lumpur.
She joins the network from Mindshare, where she was digital partner for Southeast Asia, handling client accounts such as Nestle, Unilever, Telekom Malaysia, Pizza Hut, Volvo, Astro, Malaysia Airlines and HSBC.
She is also an active contributor to Malaysia’s marketing industry, serving as a board member of the Malaysian Digital Association and serving as a jury member for local and regional awards.
