Avaya appoints Sami Ammous as managing director Asean

• Work with customers, partners to help them achieve digital transformation goals
• Previously led the Sales Engineering organisation in Asia Pacific

AVAYA on Sept 19 announced the appointment of Sami Ammous (pic) as managing director, Asean. 

Ammous will be responsible for growing Avaya’s business and presence in Indochina, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand, working closely with customers and partners to help them achieve their digital transformation objectives.

Ammous previously led the Sales Engineering organisation in Asia Pacific, where he provided technical and business consulting in digital transformation, technology adoption and emerging architectures to C-suite leaders across the region.

Since joining Avaya in 2006, Ammous has held a number of strategic positions, particularly in transformation projects for telecom providers, financial services organisations, government bodies and retailers.

Organisations across the growing but highly diverse Asean region are facing challenges to evolve digitally and move agilely in today’s competitive markets, with digital transformation taking a more prominent place in companies’ agendas, in an effort to improve customer interaction and employee efficiency.
