CelcomDigi continues with efforts to assist local MSMEs digitalise their business

• Workshop supports MSMEs with tools for digital transformation
• Final MY5G SME Digital Workshop is scheduled for Dec 6 in Sabah

CelcomDigi Bhd held the second edition of its MY5G SME Digital Workshop in Alor Setar recently. Designed to provide micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) the opportunity to learn and identify suitable technologies and digital solutions powered by 5G, the workshop was attended by more than 250 local MSMEs.

Held in collaboration with Astro, eDesa, Lazada, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara), Kumpulan Siti Khadijah, SME Bank Group, SME Corp, Tik Tok Shop, and Touch ‘n Go eWallet, the MY5G SME Digital workshop supported MSMEs’ digitalisation efforts with a programme structured with necessary tools and expertise to start their digital transformation journey. 

Participants had the opportunity to learn and gain insights from programme partners, who shared tips and available solutions as well as their experiences of how digitalising their business has benefited them.

Other topics that were discussed included financing, managing and operating an online business, how to amplify brand presence online and engage customers via social media, and also an introduction to e-commerce.

This MY5G SME Digital Workshop is part of the CelcomDigi MY5G Series, which includes a three-part MY5G CEO Roundtable programme and 5G Business Conference and Tech Showcase to help create awareness of the benefits of digitalisation as well as 5G adoption and applications amongst business communities in Malaysia. 

The last MY5G SME Digital Workshop for this year will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on 6 Dec.
