EdgePoint Infrastructure appoints new CFO

EdgePoint Infrastructure (EdgePoint), a Asean-based telecommunications infrastructure company has appointed Daragh O’Neill as its chief financial officer (CFO).
With over 26 years of experience in accounting and finance and deep specialisation in the telecommunications industry, O’Neill will be playing a key role in planning and executing financial strategy for EdgePoint as the company continues its growth within the region, the company said.
“EdgePoint’s role in building the infrastructure required by communications providers and enabling mobile network operators (MNOs) to focus on their services is crucial in this change. I look forward to joining the team that has done a tremendous job in creating the fastest growing towerco in the region,” said O’Neill
Suresh Sidhu, founder and chief executive officer of EdgePoint, said the company is delighted to welcome O’Neill on board.
“Daragh will undoubtedly help us achieve our goals to become the leading independent telecoms infrastructure company in the Asia Pacific for the 5G age, bringing his broad experience in emerging markets across Asia and the Caribbean to bear.

Prior to joining EdgePoint, O’Neill played key roles at the Digicel Group, holding the position of deputy group CFO in Digicel Group. He was also the regional CFO responsible for the Asia Pacific, Caribbean and Central American markets.
His other career highlights include CFO of Ooredoo Myanmar and 11 years as the regional financial controller for SIG Ireland.
O’Neill holds a masters degree in accountancy and a bachelor's degree in Accounting, both from University College Dublin.
