EMC appoints Paul Henaghan president for SEA

  • 15yr software industry veteran has held various senior sales and business roles
  • Joins EMC from ACI Worldwide where he was senior VP for APAC

EMC appoints Paul Henaghan president for SEAEMC Corp has announced the appointment of Paul Henaghan (pic) as president of EMC South-East Asia (SEA) effective immediately, succeeding Tom Zack who retired in early June 2015.
 
In his role, he reports to David Webster, EMC president of Asia Pacific and Japan, and is responsible for sales, strategy and business development across the region, the company said in a statement.
 
“Regarded as one of the world’s fastest-growing markets, South-East Asia is undergoing transformation as businesses redefine themselves to stay relevant,” said Webster.
 
“EMC is committed to continue empowering the industry with the right technology, tools and people to capitalise on the opportunities in this region.
 
“Paul [Henaghan] brings strong leadership and management experience to EMC with a fierce commitment towards sales growth and people enablement that is essential as we accelerate our transformation journey,” he added.
 
Henaghan has over 15 years of experience in the software industry, where he held senior sales and business leadership roles.
 
He joins EMC from ACI Worldwide where he was senior vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan, responsible for the organisation’s operations across the region.
 
Prior to ACI Worldwide, he spent three years with Progress Software in the United States and in Asia Pacific, responsible for the global field operations, managing the go-to-market restructuring and revenue enablement for the firm.
 
“South-East Asia is such a dynamic and fast-growing market globally that offers significant opportunities for EMC,” said Henaghan.
 
“I believe that EMC has the ability to lead its customers and partners in their transformation journey and enable them to thrive in the digital era.
 
“I look forward to working closely with our customers and partners in their journey and expanding our market leadership throughout the region,” he added.
 
Henaghan will be based in Singapore, where he currently resides with his wife and two children.
