F5 welcomes Mohan Veloo as new chief technology officer for APCJ

• Returns to F5, where he previously had a tenure of more than a decade
• Has more than two decades of experience in the information technology sector

F5 has announced the appointment of Mohan Veloo (pic) as chief technology officer (CTO) for Asia-Pacific, China, and Japan (APCJ), effective 30 April 2024. 

In a statement, the company emphasised that this newly created role highlights its commitment to empowering APCJ organisations with innovative technological solutions that can help them thrive in the AI era. Veloo will be responsible for setting F5’s technology vision for the region as the company continues to revolutionise application security within modern infrastructure landscapes.

With over two decades of experience in the information technology sector, Veloo is a seasoned senior executive with a strong passion for applications and their connectivity, security, and operation. He has held senior leadership roles in solutions engineering across leading technology providers and previously spent over a decade at Oracle.

Returning to F5 after more than a decade-long tenure, Veloo brings valuable experience from his previous roles as Vice President of Solutions Engineering for APCJ and Vice President of Global Solutions Engineering. Before his return, Veloo served as the Vice President of Solutions Consulting at Zscaler.

Veloo’s appointment coincides with an exciting time for APCJ organizations capitalising on AI opportunities. However, the increasing adoption of AI across the region poses challenges, including daunting complexity and evolving threat landscapes. In response, F5 has integrated AI across its solution portfolio to help customers protect against sophisticated threats and manage multicloud application environments efficiently.

Veloo’s leadership will further strengthen F5's position in the region as a leader in multicloud application security and delivery. He will also identify opportunities in emerging areas, ensuring F5 remains ahead of the curve.
