Forest Interactive joins WCIT 2022 as bronze sponsor

• An extension of the firm’s long standing membership with Pikom
• To play role in developing, shaping Malaysia’s digital ecosystem

Forest Interactive has announced that it has joined the World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2022) Malaysia as a bronze sponsor. 

In a statement, the company’s founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Johary Mustapha said the partnership is an extension of Forest Interactive’s long-standing membership with National ICT Association of Malaysia (Pikom).

“After receiving the Rising Digital Leader Award at the Pikom’s Unicorn Tech Awards 2021, we wanted to strengthen our efforts towards championing the Malaysian technology industry and renew our commitment towards the organisation’s initiatives,” he said.

Organised by the Pikom, WCIT 2022 Malaysia is strategically enabled by MDEC and the ministry of communications and multimedia Malaysia, and hosted by the Penang state government.

Notable speakers include Hock Tan, president and CEO of Broadcom Inc; Tony Fernandes, group CEO of AirAsia Bhd; Vint Cerf, noted as the 'father' of the Internet; as well as Ng May Ching, chief information officer of Maxis.

“This is a great opportunity for Forest Interactive to be part one of the world's largest and most prestigious ICT events alongside Pikom, and play a role in developing and shaping Malaysia’s digital ecosystem,” said Johary.

Delegates attending WCIT 2022 Malaysia can expect to participate in an engaging and extensive series of keynotes as well as panel, roundtable and plenary discussions, Pikom said.
