FRONTIER Digital Ventures Limited (Frontier) has appointed Anthony Klok (pic) as the new Non-Executive Chairman of Frontier, effective 21 Dec 2017.
Klok has significant board experience within the online classifieds sector as a former Non- Executive Director of both Carsales and Seek, both of which are listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
Klok is currently an investment director of Ellerston Ventures with considerable experience in sourcing, negotiating and investing in online and technology companies. He is also the current chairman of OpenAgent.com.au, Betfair Australia, and Zoom2u and an alternate director of Genero.
Previous chairman, David Baxby, reluctantly stepped down from his position with Frontier due to the demands of his role as managing director of Wesfarmers Industrials.
“We are absolutely delighted to appoint Anthony Klok as the new chairman of Frontier. Anthony brings significant online classifieds experience as a former director of Carsales and Seek – being highly complementary to our own experience at REA and iProperty,” said Frontier’s CEO and Founder, Shaun Di Gregorio who notes that his new chairman has a deep knowledge of the domestic and international investment community through his role at Ellerston Ventures.
“Anthony’s leadership and highly complementary experience will be invaluable for Frontier as we increasingly consider the various monetisation options available across our portfolio.
Finally, we would like to thank David Baxby for his service as our inaugural chairman from our IPO. We wish him well in his current role at Wesfarmers.”
