Hata launches three new digital assets including Worldcoin

Hata, Malaysia’s newest digital asset exchange (DAX), licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia and Labuan Financial Services Authority, has expanded its offerings by adding three digital assets: Worldcoin (WLD), Cosmos (ATOM), and Polkadot (DOT). Notably, Hata is the first regulated Malaysian DAX to include Worldcoin, allowing users to buy, sell, send, and receive WLD.

Worldcoin is a digital identification platform that provides individuals with a secure and convenient way to verify their human identity, distinguishing them from bots and AI algorithms. Developed by Tools for Humanity, co-founded by Sam Altman, the creator of ChatGPT, Worldcoin uses cryptographic and blockchain tools to support its digital passport system and native asset, WLD.

Cosmos allows developers to build and deploy blockchain applications easily, enhancing the performance and security of existing networks. Its cryptocurrency, ATOM, is used for transaction processing and network security.

Known for its speed and scalability, the DOT token is used for staking and governance, and is now tradable on Hata and other exchanges.

David Low (pic), CEO of Hata, said “With the Securities Commission’s approval of Worldcoin on May 8, 2024, we are the first regulated DAX in Malaysia to launch trading of this digital asset. This allows Malaysians to explore and diversify their digital asset portfolios in a regulated environment. Worldcoin, Cosmos, and Polkadot are also available on its global platform, which serves users worldwide and is licensed by the Labuan Financial Services Authority.”

With the addition of WLD, ATOM, and DOT, Hata now lists 14 cryptocurrencies on its Malaysian platform. This makes it the exchange with the largest number of cryptocurrencies available for trading and investing in Malaysia.

Hata also claims to offer the lowest fees among Malaysian digital asset exchanges and recently introduced an affiliate program, offering users a 30% share of the trading fees generated by their referrals.
