HUAWEI Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has announced a collaboration with marketing agency VITA Media Sdn Bhd (VITAMEDIA) to assist Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in digitalisation.
The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) ceremony, which will witness Huawei Cloud providing the infrastructure power to enhance VITAMEDIA’s information review hub, ASKPERT.
VITAMEDIA, on the other hand, will be responsible for the business-to-business (B2B) aspect of the collaboration by getting SMEs to take full advantage of ASKPERT in their business transactions, the companies said in a statement.
Through ASKPERT, consumers will have access to more transparent and accurate information, and a deeper understanding of products before they finalise their purchases, VITAMEDIA claimed.
They will be able to make more informed decisions and smarter choices by referring to other users' comments, it added.
In addition to that, merchants will be able to address users' voices through their reviews and cater their products and services better to meet consumer's needs.
“We are committed to providing reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud services to empower applications, harness the power of data, and help organisations of all sizes grow in today’s intelligent world. We are also grateful to Huawei Cloud for their commitment in bringing affordable, effective, and reliable cloud services through technological innovation,” said Kiro Tan, chief executive officer of VITAMEDIA.
“We firmly believe that with the availability of a platform such as ASKPERT, combined with Huawei Cloud’s expertise, we will be able to improve the awareness among SMEs on the latest digital trends, thereby expanding the range of market scopes.”
“Today, the cloud has become the cornerstone of today’s intelligent world. This has forced not only SMEs, but industries across the board to relook, rethink and restrategise their operational efficiencies in order to stay relevant and to thrive,” said Lim Chee Siong, vice president of Huawei Malaysia’s cloud and AI business group.
“This collaboration with VITAMEDIA will leverage Huawei’s technology to improve accessibility to infotainment content and in doing so, enrich consumers’ lives,” said Lim.
Meanwhile, VITAMEDIA is set to launch a new e-commerce model in 2021. The company offers live sales content in three languages and guarantees a “lowest price for a three-hour broadcast limit throughout the year.”
VITAMEDIA jointly produces high-quality content, comprehensive marketing strategies, innovative online and offline publicity solutions, and service promotions.
Its portfolio claims to contain more than 4,500 online celebrities, live broadcasters, and bloggers, and 14 mainstream online media outlets covering Malaysia with more than 10 million followers. All these will be hosted on Huawei Cloud, it said.
