Incite Foodtech appoints KarenPuah as CEOThe board of directors of Incite Foodtech Sdn Bhd have announced the appointment of Karen Puah (pic, above) as its chief executive officer (CEO).

In a statement, the Malaysian-based tech venture claimed it has achieved great success, entered foreign markets, and now added an experienced business anchor to enhance the business strategy on a larger scale.

This includes a unified consumer technology that includes food and beverage, grocery, convenience stores, pharmacies, omni-channel retailers, and financial services, it said.

Vincent Kok, chairman of the board said Puah created a lasting impression on the board with her vision, intellect, and professionalism.

“She has made a tremendous impact during her time at the Fintech Association of Malaysia, She Loves Tech, and we have no doubt that she will continue this momentum as our CEO,” he said.

Former president of the Malaysian Fintech Association and ambassador of She Loves Tech, Puah has more than two decades of experience in the advertising, FMCG, and finance industries, which has allowed her to develop a unique regional experience and market viewpoint.

Coupled with her extensive financial network, Incite said she is able to provide insights that will contribute to the expansion of the company.

Puah said she sees herself as being a part of a game-changing entity, and sees Incite Foodtech as one of them.

“Right now the venture focuses on foodtech, but in the coming months we're going to unlock its potential and expand to consumer tech, embedded with fintech, with an IPO being the ultimate aim," she said.

Tham Lih Chung, founder and director of Incite Foodtech, said Puah is an established leader with the vision to build on the success of Incite Foodtech and take it to its next phase of growth and innovation.
