IO’s CEO George Slessman joins SAP Asia Pacific Japan advisory board

DATA centre services company IO said that its chief executive officer George D. Slessman (pic above) has joined the SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) advisory board.

The SAP APJ advisory board consists of business leaders from various industries, including financial services, public sector, consumer, oil and gas, media and telecommunications.

Members provide guidance around key issues such as sustainable growth and market development, industries and solutions, governments and regulators, new business models and opportunities.

Slessman has been in the industry for nearly 20 years. He has founded and successfully exited several businesses, inventing and delivering software, hardware and clean energy technologies for the benefit of enterprise, government and service provider customers, IO said in a statement.

He is credited as being the inventor of 34 patented and patent-pending technologies, the company added.

“I am pleased and very much honoured to be asked to join the SAP APJ advisory board,” Slessman said.

“I look forward to learning from the SAP team and contributing to the development of technology and business growth in the region,” he added.

Waldorf, Germany-based business software giant SAP has its regional headquarters in Singapore.

SAP enables people and organisations to work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively to stay ahead of the competition, IO said in its statement.

Similarly, IO provides data centre technology and transparency that empowers enterprises to outperform their business goals.

Both companies share a customer-first approach and culture of data-driven improvement, IO declared.

In addition to SAP APJ, Slessman sits on the board of directors for Nourish Technology, cSuite, IO and BaseLayer.
