In a statement, Digital Realty said it seeks to manage growing demand for data centre services in Asia Pacific, and Dunbar will be responsible for building on the company’s success while developing strategies for new markets.

“We are pleased to welcome Daryl [Dunbar] to the Digital Realty team and look forward to strengthening our presence in the region under his leadership,” he added.
Dunbar has worked extensively with organisations ranging from startups to large multinational and not-for-profit corporations, particularly in the areas of technology, strategy, operations, business design, corporate development and venture financing.

He has assisted public companies with portfolio strategy, market creation, market expansion, process development and innovation across all areas of business, the company added.
Prior to joining Digital Realty, he served as head of IT Services at Colt Technology Services, and previously senior vice president of innovation for Reed Elsevier and director of portfolio innovation for the BT Group in London.
He has also held positions with Enron and BellSouth and cofounded several companies.
Dunbar holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He will be based in Singapore.
