Consistently across the globe, the top percentile of a country’s largest companies tend to generate a significant portion of the country’s total GDP. With this in mind, Endeavor Global was set up in 1997 based in New York with the mission to select high-impact entrepreneurs that the organisation can assist and scale to achieve bigger success, therefore becoming the catalyst of economic growth for the country.

 

Endeavor Malaysia, the local chapter of a global entrepreneur support network, has been in Malaysia for 6 years and currently works with 21 successful companies which collectively generate more than US$314 million (RM 1.3 billion) revenue annually.

Once selected, Endeavor connects founders to high quality mentors, investors, service partners and access to markets across 37 countries globally. In line with the organisation’s continuous initiative to select and grow high-impact entrepreneurs in Malaysia, Endeavor would like to invite successful ambitious business owners to register their interest with the organisation.

Endeavor’s support across its four main pillars – strategic advice, capital, talent and markets have been honed over the past 22 years. Its core offering – mentorship and strategic advice involves Malaysian business leaders such as Afzal Abdul Rahim (CEO, Time dotCom), Brahmal Vasudevan (founder of Creador), Nazir Razak ( founder of Ikhlas Capital), TS Wong (managing director of MyEG), Mark Chang (founder of JobStreet), and Lim Chern Yuan ( managing director of Yinson).

To help further develop these companies, Endeavor plays a proactive role in working with the entrepreneurs by providing them access to mentors who are some of the most successful business owners and industry leaders locally and from across the world.

These mentors provide their invaluable insights and advice via one-on-one mentoring sessions or an Advisory Board set-up specifically for these entrepreneurs.

In addition to the mentorship, the local offices across 37 markets will be able to work with entrepreneurs in the network to gain local and regional insights of various industries to help expand these companies’ footprint more effectively.

Endeavor has a successfully work with companies from various industries that are both tech and non-tech related. In Malaysia, the 21 companies that have been selected into the network includes companies such as Holstein Milk (Farm Fresh), FashionValet, Carsome, Photobook, TheLorry, BateriKu, Juris Technologies and iHandal.

Since being inducted into the Endeavor network, many of these companies have since managed to work on several of their key priorities and grow their business further. Many of the growth areas being worked on involves business strategy, talent development, company alignment, funding, business development and new market entry.
