NCR beefs up SEA sales with new executive appointmentsNCR Corp has announced two new senior sales executive appointments to drive its financial services business growth in South-East Asia, and Singapore.
 
Yiannos Papadopoulos (pic), current AMEA (Asia, Middle East and Africa) channel vice president, will take up a new role as vice president for financial services, sales in South-East Asia, reporting to Joao Perez, senior vice president, global sales for financial services.
 
Midge Pan has been appointed managing director for financial services in Singapore, and he will report to Papadopoulos, NCR said in a statement.
 
“South-East Asia continues to be a strategic market for NCR’s global growth strategy and these new appointments reinforce our commitment to have the best leadership team on ground to meet our customers’ needs at all times,” said Perez.
 
“Yiannos [Papadopoulos] has a sound track record of building collaborative partnerships and understanding emerging market needs, and I am confident that he will drive our business in the region to new level of success with his solid experience working in different geographical markets,” he said.
 
In his new role, Papadopoulos will be based in Singapore and be responsible for driving NCR’s strategy to leverage new growth opportunities for software and services business in the financial industry in the region.
 
During his 16 years with NCR, he has held senior leadership roles of increasing responsibilities, including region leader for the retail business in the Middle East, general manager for NCR South Africa, channels managing director for Middle East, and most recently managing the channel financial business globally.

As managing director for financial services in Singapore, Pan (pic) will focus on NCR’s strategic customers in the market, and work towards adding new customers.
 
He joins NCR with over a decade of solid direct and channel sales background in the information technology industry. He most recently worked as Asia Pacific alliance director at  Eaton Corporation.
 
Previously, he held various sales positions in Lenovo, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. He holds a bachelor of business degree in business from Monash University.
 
NCR is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia with approximately 29,000 employees and does business in 180 countries.
