NetApp Malaysia appoints new country manager

- Lead, build NetApp’s business, growth through partner acquisitions
NetApp has announced the appointment of Carol Wang (pic) as the country manager of NetApp Malaysia.
In a statement, the company said Wang will be responsible for leading and building NetApp’s business and growth by expanding partner acquisitions in Malaysia.
Sanjay Rohatgi, senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific at NetApp, said Wang joins with a wealth of experience.
He said this will be fundamental as more organisations in Malaysia are desiring to unlock the best of hybrid cloud experiences and data.
“In the age of digital acceleration, the hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure is prioritised by many businesses and leaders.
“With Wang's leadership and expertise, I’m positive that she will be key to driving NetApp’s continued growth and enriching the customer experience in Malaysia,” he said.
On her appointment Wang said, “I’m excited to be part of NetApp's vision in the cloud transformation journey. I strongly believe that NetApp is in an excellent position to offer customers an unparalleled hybrid cloud strategy and experience.”
“With more than two decades of experience in leading teams and growing a company’s influence, I am confident that I will bring NetApp Malaysia to even greater heights,” she said.
Wang has 22 years of in-market experience with cloud infrastructures and driving business opportunities for data centres and cybersecurity.
She joins NetApp from TIME dotCom Bhd, where she most recently served as vice president of business transformation.
Wang managed a team of business solutions leaders to drive growth for the company while leading the company’s organisational change, NetApp said.
Her experience includes holding leadership positions in Telekom Malaysia, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Dell and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
