New Group CEO takes the helm at Tune Protect

• Joined the Group in 2017 as CEO of Tune Protect Malaysia
• Aims to aims to deliver the Group’s digital agenda

KHOO Ai Lin has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Tune Protect Group Bhd (TPG), effective Jan 15. Khoo succeeds Razman Abu Hafidz, who stepped into an advisory role for the company at the end of December 2018.

She joined the Group in 2017 as CEO of Tune Protect Malaysia (TPM) and has been instrumental in realigning the strategic direction of the company in line with the Group’s direction.

Her achievements amongst others include the establishment of affinity partnerships to acquire critical retail mass businesses, particularly in the property community. Within her tenure, she also fortified the leadership line up for TPM to strengthen the strategic di-rection of the company.

As the new Group CEO, Khoo aims to deliver the Group’s digital agenda by accelerating the expansion of international businesses and leveraging on the AirAsia and Tune Group ecosystem. 

“Tune Protect Group is in a prime position for a very positive year ahead. I have always been impressed by the vision of the board of directors and I am excited to take on this new role,” said Khoo.

“I look forward to working closely with the Group’s management team to accelerate expansion of international business while continuing to strengthen the Group’s strategic pillars such as being a leader in product innovation, expanding distribution channels and delivering exceptional customer experience,” she added.

A well established and experienced thought leader with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Khoo was the chief marketing officer of a multinational in-surance company prior to joining the Group in 2017.

Throughout the span of her career, she has served as at several top multinational agencies in various roles such as in partner-ships, distribution, bancassurance, affinity business and business development within the life, general and composite insurance sectors.

She is currently also a director of Tune Protect Re Ltd, and will continue to lead TPM until further notice.
