Ohmyhome launches renovation services, expands service line-up

• Allows users to seek quality renovation services through platform
• Materials and renovation conducted through Ohmyhome’s partners

 SINGAPOREAN homegrown property technology company Ohmyhome recently launched its renovation services, expanding the company’s suite of end-to-end services. Now beyond property searching and buying, Ohmyhome users can utilise the platform to seek out renovators in a simple and more transparent manner.

The service is meant the address the issues faced by property owners when it comes to renovation, which includes unclear costing, inconsistent communication with designers and contractors, delays, and renovation disputes, the company said in a statement.

Ohmyhome Renovation said it seeks to tackle these issues through a simple and convenient experience. For this, the startup has assembled an experienced team of in-house interior designers, led by Demi Goh. Goh is a Top 15 finalist for Upcycled Architecture in the Fentress Global Challenge in 2014, with a portfolio that “emphasises modern aesthetics with timeless and liveable design.”

Customers expressing interest to renovate are put in touch with one of Ohmyhome’s in-house interior designers, who will help translate the homeowner’s vision into concrete designs, the company said.

Ohmyhome said customers will receive a complimentary design proposal with fully transparent costing. Once the proposal is confirmed, materials are ordered and the renovation is carried out with Ohmyhome’s trusted partners. Renovation packages start from US$7,436.63 (SG$9,888) and come with a one-year warranty.

Ohmyhome is described as a DIY (self-serve) platform that connects homeowners and searchers directly at no cost. Since its launch in 2016, Ohmyhome has facilitated more than 5,300 home transactions, representing a combined value of over US$1.6 billion, the company said.

Ohmyhome Renovations follows Ohmyhome’s launch in the Philippines on September 2020, its third location after Singapore and Malaysia.
