RICOH (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd said it has completed its acquisition of Nassion Systems (M) Sdn Bhd, an ICT managed services and telecommunications solutions provider. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Nassion Systems also provides network infrastructure connectivity, data centre security solutions, corporate wide area network (WAN) and Internet access connectivity, as well as technical support, Ricoh Malaysia said in a statement.
The acquisition will enhance Ricoh Malaysia’s current range of IT services and solutions and improve its managed services solutions, it added.
“We are excited to embark on this new journey with the knowledge and know-how that Nassion Systems is able to bring to the table,” said newly-appointed Ricoh Malaysia managing director Peter Wee.
“We are confident that with this acquisition, we would be able to enlarge Ricoh Malaysia’s IT services portfolio with value-added capabilities and offerings,” he added.
Ricoh Malaysia said it was also recently awarded the Applications Service Provider (ASP) Class Licence by industry regulator the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
This grants the office and business solutions industry giant the ability to provide telecommunication facilities and services to the market.
“I am extremely pleased and excited about our people at Nassion Systems becoming part of the Ricoh Malaysia family as I see a strong fit with Ricoh’s IT services’ strategic direction,” said Nassion Systems chief executive officer Danny Fan.
Advisors to the transaction were Ernst & Young and Koh & CH Tay Advocates & Solicitors.
