Tech Mahindra launches Google centre in Malaysia

INDIA’S Tech Mahindra Ltd has announced the opening of the first Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Google tools in Malaysia, located at its Global Solution Centre in Cyberjaya.

The CoE would bring transformational solutions to enterprises across Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region, the company said in a statement.

The CoE aims to be the hub for innovation within the region and will focus on nurturing and building solutions with the best combination of products and technologies.

This initiative is also part of Tech Mahindra’s work with Google to promote products, technologies and solutions for digital transformation across enterprises.

“This move will bring industry-specific solutions that enable enterprises to accelerate their transformation journey by leveraging best-in-class technologies,” said Rohit Gandhi, Tech Mahindra (Enterprise) head of Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa.

“It marks a significant step in strengthening our partnership with Google, and our synergy brings unique offerings that bundle future products and solutions for today’s businesses,” he claimed.

The CoE showcases a range of Google for Work products, including Google Apps for Work, Google Maps for Work, Google Search for Work and Google Cloud Platform.

At the CoE businesses and technology experts will be able to see some of the industry solutions that Tech Mahindra has developed on top of Google's products, such as Supply Chain Visibility and Connected Healthcare.

“Tech Mahindra's new Centre of Excellence will give businesses a central place to see the kinds of technology solutions that can be developed for their business, and will train technology experts so they can share their knowledge and skills with more businesses across the Asia Pacific region,” said Google for Work Asia Pacific director Kevin Akhurst.

Tech Mahindra has a 1,100+ seat facility in Malaysia, serving more than 20 regional and global customers across various verticals.
