Telin Singapore gets Cisco WebEx accreditation, first in APAC

TELEKOMUNIKASI Indonesia International Pte Ltd (Telin Singapore), a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, said it was the first in Asia Pacific to be certified a Cisco Systems Inc authorised technology provider for WebEx.

With that, Telin Singapore has unveiled new business offerings to help telecommunication service providers and enterprise clients add automation to their Cisco web conference services-based clouds, it said in a statement.

The certification, known as Cisco Software as a Service (SaaS) Conferencing and Enterprise Instant Messaging (EMI) Resale Authorised Technology Provider (SaaS ATP), enables Telin Singapore to sell, deploy and support Cisco’s web conferencing services.

“This certification marks our on-going effort to strengthen Telin Singapore’s network and infrastructure to radically expand Telkom’s international reach and services,” said head of business development and planning Sendang Praptomo.

“Our ability to facilitate Cisco services is a huge leap in our cloud offerings and will help us to leverage on the business potential in this area.

“Combined with our existing mission-critical data centres in Changi and Tai Seng, we will be able to take advantage and propel innovations in cloud architecture for the benefit of our customers,” he added.

The benefits of using SaaS ATP solutions – software solutions delivered via the cloud-computing model – are clear for many organisations, and these include significant cost savings and greater workforce productivity, Telin Singapore said in a statement.

The company is especially targeting startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) , educational institutions, and government agencies.

Telin Singapore’s cloud customers can subscribe to the WebEx service (pic above) from Telin’s online store, 333Cloud, with auto-provisioning system kick-starting within five minutes of registration.

Flexible payment mode by monthly with auto recurring or yearly payment method is available, along with consolidated billing, the company said.

All Cisco WebEx features are available on 333Cloud, such as centres for meeting, training, event and support.

According to latest data by research consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, web-based communications will reach US$2.88 billion in 2017. Demand for SaaS has contributed 83% of total web conferencing revenue, Telin Singapore said.

Separately, the RightScale 2015 State of the Cloud Report found that 93% of respondents are using the cloud to manage big data more efficiently, reduce cost and overhead, and to adopt flexible and scalable systems.
