Former Akamai Technologies APAC VP Malcolm Rowe joins Tenable Network Security

• To oversee strategic direction, channel expansion & sales growth of the South Asia sales division
• Sees DevOps, Containers, Cloud, IoT and BYOD continue to disrupt the enterprise network

TENABLE Network Security®, Inc, a global leader in cybersecurity, announced yesterday that it has hired security industry veteran Malcolm Rowe as the new sales director for South Asia. Rowe, who is based in Singapore, will oversee strategic direction, channel expansion and sales growth of the South Asia sales division at Tenable focusing on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and India.

“Malcolm brings exceptional leadership skills and is well versed in building a partner network within Asia,” said Gary Jackson, vice president of APAC sales, Tenable Network Security. “His knowledge of the region and decades of industry experience make him a valued addition to our team. Malcolm’s leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand in Asia and connect customers with the best continuous monitoring and vulnerability management technology to overcome today’s evolving threats.”

In the new role, Rowe will drive business development throughout South Asia and optimize sales strategies to meet market demands and help customers use products, new features and services to their best advantage.

Having spent a number of years in sales leadership roles in Asia Pacific (APAC), Rowe understands the unique security and business needs of customers and channel partners in the region and will continue to deliver solutions that give them the visibility and context needed to detect, assess and protect the security of their networks.

Rowe most recently served as regional vice president of sales APAC at Akamai Technologies and has over 25 years of IT industry experience, including 16 years in the web security business. Since coming to Singapore two decades ago, he has held regional Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) sales leadership roles for a handful of IT security organizations, including Mirror Image Internet and Northop Arinso.
