TIME offers private connectivity to AWS Direct Connect

- Reduces network costs while increasing bandwidth throughput
- Provide a more consistent network experience than an Internet-based connection
TIME dotCom recently achieved the AWS Service Delivery designation for AWS Direct Connect, which authorises it to provision private connections to AWS through its TIME Cloud Interconnect Direct service.
AWS Direct Connect is a cloud service solution that makes it easier to establish a dedicated network connection between AWS and the customer’s data centre, office, or co-location environment. In most cases, this can reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput and provide a more consistent network experience than an Internet-based connection.
Typically, businesses access their cloud services through the public Internet, which leaves the connection vulnerable to latency issues and possible cyber-attacks.
Since TCID is able to link directly to AWS Direct Connect, it establishes a private connection to AWS that bypasses the World Wide Web entirely, reinforcing the speed and security of data transfer through this connection.
“We’re proud to help Malaysian businesses in their push towards digital transformation by giving them secure, direct access to AWS. This will help them leverage the agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation that AWS provides,” said TIME chief technology officer Ang Thing Jiun.
Network deployment can be accomplished in a matter of days owing to the existing infrastructure. TCID has a Service Level Agreement of up to 99.9% and a 24 x 7 x 365 support centre keeps service availability high, while up to 10Gbps of bandwidth provides scalability.
