Touch ‘n Go appoints Praba Sangarajoo as CEO 

• Spearheaded launch of new products & introduced new revenue streams
• Chart growth trajectory of Group in an increasinglycompetitive landscape 

Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd today announced the appointment of Praba Sangarajoo (pic) as CEO, effective 1 April 2023. He takes over from Effendy Shahul Hamid who was Group CEO of Touch ‘n Go Group untill his January promotion to CEO of Group Consumer & Digital Banking at CIMB Group, where his responsibilities include its digital banking initiatives, including Touch ‘n Go and TNG Digital.

Praba is currently Deputy CEO, Business & Growth of Touch ‘n Go. He joined Touch ‘n Go in June 2021 and is responsible for revenue growth, new business, product innovation as well as the management of government and stakeholder relationships. In less than two years, he has spearheaded the launch of new products and introduced new revenue streams, including RFID for expressway toll payments and fueling, the enhanced Touch ‘n Go NFC card for improved customer conveniences, and the acquisition of an unprecedented number of new parking sites in 2022.

Long a dominant payment provider on highway tolls, the company now also operates multiple businesses and revenue streams, and is competitive across all verticals, not just in tolling. We are confident that Praba has the business acumen and leadership capabilities to steer Touch ‘n Go through its next strategic phase and achieve greater successes going forward,” said Zainal.
Prior to joining Touch ‘n Go, Praba was CEO of Xperanti IoT (M) Sdn Bhd. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer (Rail) at Sapura Secured Technologies. He has also served in management capacities in large multinational companies such as Nokia Siemens Networks, and Fujitsu. He has a Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Northumbria.
