- ShopBack’s mobile app is one of the first in SEA to integrate seamlessly with Uber
- Users can earn Cashback when buying mobile reloads, bus and train tickets
AHEAD of its 2nd year anniversary, ShopBack Malaysia announced that Uber will be part of its merchant network, adding to the list of over 500 online stores including Lazada, ZALORA, Expedia, Booking.com and Foodpanda.
The strategic tie-up will now see Uber riders earning Cashback for every ride booked via the ShopBack mobile app.
Additionally, users can now also earn Cashback when buying mobile reloads from major telcos (Hotlink, Digi, U Mobile, Celcom and Tune Talk), as well as bus and train tickets via Easybook, CatchThatBus and Bus Online Ticket.
Consumers can not only earn Cashback on Uber rides, but will also be rewarded whenever they shop via ShopBack.
“As a startup, and to be around in this competitive environment for two years is a proud achievement for the ShopBack team. The support we have gathered from our customers and merchants has been tremendous, and the experience of working with some of the biggest merchants and brands in the world has indeed been a great learning curve for all of us,” said ShopBack Malaysia chief operating officer Sharmeen Looi.
Continuing to push boundaries to deliver better user experiences for its customers in an increasingly mobile-first market, ShopBack’s mobile app is one of the first in Southeast Asia to integrate seamlessly with Uber.
“Since day one, we wanted to empower shoppers to shop smarter. This partnership with Uber and the addition of services on our mobile app enables that to happen as we continue to identify more opportunities for our consumers to earn Cashback more conveniently through ShopBack, and transfer it into their bank accounts as real cash.
“To date, we’ve given out over RM13.5 million in Cashback to our users, and although some see it as dollars and cents, we think we have helped add value by enabling customers to enjoy those savings elsewhere, contributing to a better quality of life.” added Looi.
