CAB2klia app offers easy KLIA taxi booking

GETTING a taxi to and from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2 just got easier with the introduction of the CAB2klia mobile application.

The app, launched last week by Minister of Tourism and Culture Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz was developed by TaxiMonger Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Mesra Indah Jaya Sdn Bhd (MIJ), the appointed company by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad for queue management services, to manage coupon taxis (offering a fixed fare) at KLIA2.

“CAB2klia is at least 10% cheaper than metered taxis and this represents an attractive approach for passengers where there is no additional charge, no hidden fees and no taxi price negotiations,” said TaxiMonger chief executive officer Nizran Noordin in a statement.

The CAB2klia app is available on several platforms including Android, iPhone and the web. The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and App Store.

CAB2klia’s fleet of taxis comprises several types including budget, premier and family van. Payment for the ride must be made upfront either by credit or debit card or online banking.

Currently, CAB2klia is only available for inbound airport transfer from anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia to KLIA and KLIA2. The outbound airport transfer booking feature will be made available in the CAB2klia app within the next six months.

In conjunction with this month of love, CAB2klia will be offering a box of Danson’s chocolates for every ride purchased on CAB2klia for the month of February. This offer is in partnership with Choc Stop, a premium chocolate store at KLIA and KLIA2. Customers would only need to enter #ChocStopKLIA in the voucher code column when making the booking via CAB2klia.

Taxi Monger has won numerous awards, including the MSC Malaysia APICTA Awards 2012 (Best of Tourism & Hospitality) and the Top 10 Best Apps in Asia by the Open Web Asia 2012 (APEC SME Summit, 2012).
