GOOGLE Malaysia has opened registration for its first annual g|Malaysia event in Kuala Lumpur from Oct 3 - 4, 2012 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel.
The two-day technology conference with an expanded agenda is part of the company’s effort to support technology innovation in the country, and will have two distinct focuses, Google said in a statement.
The first day of the conference is targeted at marketers, webmasters, government and entrepreneurs. There will be non-technical and technical presentations on Google products, platforms, tips and trends for businesses.
The second day of the conference is aimed at university faculty staff and students, with presentations focusing on Google products such as apps for education, programmes and opportunities that are beneficial for educational institutions, such as university programs and internships.
The third installment of Google Developer Group (GDG) DevFest Malaysia, a community-organised event that connects Malaysian developers to Google developer advocates and engineers, will also take place on Oct 4.
There will be introductory and medium-level sessions on best practices for using Google technologies such as App Engine, Web Services, HTML5 and Android.
Google has also called for submissions by Malaysian developers who have used the company’s products to create something. Developers with interesting projects will be offered a chance to showcase their work during the conference.
