RM60K up for grabs at PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship 2018

• There will be four state qualifiers in Johor, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur

TENCENT, the world’s largest gaming company, presents the PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship (PMNC) 2018, which will be the first official PUBG Mobile tournament in Malaysia.

Sponsored by Vivo and Yoodo, the tournament will seek the best teams with state qualifiers across Malaysia to lead into the Grand Final. Altogether, PMNC 2018 offers a grand total prize pool of RM60,000, 16 units of V11i phones by Vivo and a one-year free mobile plan by Yoodo.

“This event is themed squad up, which will not only be happening for the participants but also for the e-sports stakeholders in Malaysia. Together with stakeholders, PMNC is creating a complete ecosystem for Malaysian e-sports, starting from players, teams and leagues to fans and sponsors.

“This competition is part of an effort to create a competitive community through PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games. We hope this act will get nationwide support, so that new talents in e-sports will grow. Furthermore, with e-sports entering into the Asian Games 2019, we hope that this PUBG Mobile tournament will bring e-sports to a higher level, and raise Malaysia’s name to the level of Asia and the global e-sports scene,” said Tencent Games SEA director Oliver Ye.

PMNC 2018 will have a total of four state qualifiers: Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur.

The top four teams from each qualifier will then face-off in the Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 26, 2019. The best PUBG Mobile team in Malaysia will be named champions taking home the lion’s share of the RM60,000 total prize pool.

• Sabah Qualifier: Dec 25, 2018, Kompleks Karamunsing, Sabah
• Sarawak Qualifier: Jan 6, 2019, Emart Batu Kawa, Sarawak
• Kuala Lumpur Qualifier: Jan 12, 2019, Sunway Velocity Level 3, Kuala Lumpur
• Grand Finals: Jan 26, 2019, Vanity Atrium, Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur (16 Teams)
