Touristly is now Vidi

Malaysian online travel startup Touristly announced today a strategic rebranding to Vidi.

The rebranding reflects the evolution of the company from a traditional trip planner to a visual discovery platform, as it endeavours to capture the tours and activities market in Asia Pacific and beyond.

Taken from the Latin word “to see”, Vidi reflects the company’s mission to help travellers see the world by discovering and booking the best things to do while on holiday.

Vidi chief executive officer and founder Aaron Sarma (in pic, centre bottom) said, “Our mission from day one was to give travellers the missing link in how they plan their holidays. This rebranding marks a new chapter in our journey as we move towards making travel discovery more engaging, fun and visual.”

The company has also announced that it will be releasing a new mobile app for iOS and Android in the coming weeks in line with the rebranding.
