Yoodo slays competitors in PUBG MOBILE

  • Extends free 20GB PUBG MOBILE game-specific data add-on promotion until end July 2019
  • Yoodo Gank will represent Malaysia at the next round of PMCO in Shanghai

YOODO - Malaysia’s first customisable digital mobile service is cementing their place in e-sports with a line-up of gaming centric announcements including the return of the Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) and the extension of their PUBG data add-on promotion.

Yoodo is once again the official digital telco for PMNC 2019, which is set to be bigger and better, with a total prize pool of RM114,000, nearly double last year’s figure.

PMNC 2019 features six qualifiers across Malaysia, beginning with the Selangor qualifier on April 27 at Sunway Lagoon. This will be followed by, qualifiers in Sabah (May 25), Kuala Lumpur (June 1), Penang (June 15), Johor (June 22) and Sarawak (June 29).

Commenting on the announcement, Yoodo head Chow Tuck Mun, said, “When Yoodo stepped into the mobile gaming sphere, it was with the mission to further cultivate the local e-sports scene. Since our entry into the gaming scene, we have unlocked achievement after achievement. Now we are excited to be levelling up our support further with our role as the official digital telco of PMNC 2019.”

To celebrate this exciting announcement, Yoodo is rewarding all players by extending the free 20GB PUBG MOBILE game-specific data add-on promotion until the end of July 2019. This will allow PUBG MOBILE fans to game care free with zero data charges.

Meanwhile, Yoodo’s PUBG team, Yoodo Gank has built upon its victory in the inaugural PMNC tournament by progressing in the National Finals for the inaugural PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO) - the official global tournament organised by PUBG Corporation and the world’s largest games company – Tencent Games.

They will be officially representing Malaysia, pitting their skills against global and regional champions at the next round of PMCO in Shanghai. There they will have a chance to participate in the regional semi-finals and then the regional finals with a prize pool of US$2 million.

Explaining how Yoodo will be further supporting the team in this international level competition, Chow noted, “Yoodo is going all out to give our Yoodo Gank team the very best chance of making our nation proud on this huge stage. We are looking to sponsor new top of the line mobile devices for them to train on as well as engaging the best coach to help them hone their skills.”
