CA Technologies offers new customers unlimited data protection for 3yrs

• Those who switch to CA ARCserve eligible for pricing discounts and additional maintenance credits
• Comes at a set price regardless of any organic growth in customers’ storage requirements

CA Technologies has announced a competitive upgrade offer for data backup and recovery software – from now until March 31, 2013, eligible businesses which replace a competitor’s backup or disaster recovery software with CA ARCserve can purchase an unlimited-use Managed Capacity license for their business for the next three years.
 
This comes at a set price regardless of any organic growth in their storage requirements, CA Technologies said in a statement.
 
At the end of the third year, customers can renew for the amount of data being protected at that time. In addition, CA Technologies is offering its partners a 25% discount off the current standard MSRP.
 
CA ARCserve Managed Capacity licensing allows organizations to more flexibly mix and match functionality and cost-effectively address their unique data protection requirements, offering one simple license, priced per terabyte of protected data, the company claimed.
 
Customers who replace a competitor’s backup or disaster recovery software with CA ARCserve may also be eligible to receive an additional credit towards any maintenance agreements on their existing data protection solution.
 
This addresses a significant pain point typically involved in switching data protection solutions, the company said.

“This special offer gives customers an even greater opportunity to move to CA ARCserve and fulfill their data protection requirements more easily and efficiently than ever before.”
 
CA Technologies recently announced key product and pricing enhancements to CA ARCserve that it claimed uniquely address the growing demand of customers and service providers for simple, comprehensive data protection.
 
The enhancements include simplified solution licensing and pricing that offers greater economy and flexibility to achieve recovery time and recovery point objectives.
