CA Tech and NTT Com Security in identity management partnership for APAC

• NTT Com to host CA Tech’s Identity Access Management SaaS solution on its data centres
• Partnership will help local customers address data sovereignty policies in certain markets

CA Technologies has signed an agreement with NTT Com Security (formerly known as Integralis) to host CA CloudMinder Identity and Access Management (IAM) software-as-a-service solution in the Asia Pacific region.
 
This partnership enables CA Technologies to provide identity management, advanced authentication and single sign-on as-a-service locally, the company said in a statement.
 
Global information security and risk management solutions provider NTT Com Security will host CA CloudMinder via its group data centres across the region, helping local customers address data sovereignty policies in certain markets, CA Technologies said.
 
The partnership essentially enables CA Technologies to deliver CA CloudMinder as a locally-hosted IAM-as-a-service solution.
 
“The pervasiveness of trends like cloud and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) have added new layers of security complexities for leading organisations across Asia Pacific markets today,” said Lionel Lim, president, Asia Pacific & Japan, CA Technologies.
 
“CA CloudMinder enables IT professionals to streamline how they manage users and their access to information and devices.
 
“This will create greater operational and cost efficiencies and allow the IT function to be focusing on driving business innovations,” he added.
 
NTT Com Security is part of NTT Communications and, via its new WideAngle brand, provides information security and risk management solutions to companies worldwide.
 
“The use of cloud [computing], social networking tools, and mobile devices and applications, have opened the enterprise and erased any security perimeter that may have existed,” said Mike Denning, senior vice president and general manager of Security at CA Technologies.
 
“It has created a hybrid IT environment that puts new demands on security professionals.
 
“Hybrid IT calls for a hybrid IAM solution, like CA CloudMinder, that addresses today’s IT environment of cloud, on-premise apps, social and mobile,” he added.
 
CA Technologies claims that CloudMinder provides enterprise-grade IAM for cloud-based or on-premise applications in a highly scalable, multi-tenant, IAM as-a-Service solution.
 
With extended out-of-the-box support for social identities and additional on-premise and cloud applications such as Microsoft Office 365, CA CloudMinder helps IT departments reduce the complexities of managing IAM.
