Check Point appoints new VP of sales for APAC, Middle East and Africa

• Will focus on strategy, structure and operational plans in the above regions
• 20 years’ industry experience with Salesforce.com, Hewlett-Packard and IBM

CHECK Point Software Technologies Ltd has announced the appointment of Steve McWhirter (pic) as vice president of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa sales, where he will be responsible for the company’s market and business growth in the regions.
 
McWhirter will focus on strategy, structure and operational plans in these regions, Check Point said in a statement.
 
He brings with him more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Check Point, he worked at Salesforce.com, Hewlett-Packard and IBM, where he held various senior sales management roles.

He is based in Singapore and will report to Amnon Bar-Lev, president of Check Point Software Technologies.
