Computrade appointed IBM and Oracle distributor

• Company focused on helping its resellers move up value chain
• Also distributor for Clavister, Google, i-Sprint, Thales and Zscaler

COMPUTRADE Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (CTM), a subsidiary of Computrade Technology International (CTI Group), said it has been appointed a distributor for IBM and Oracle.
 
The distributorship entails end-to-end channel management and reselling efforts for the following product ranges:

• The IBM Power Systems Family, IBM Pure Systems and IBM System Storage; and

• Oracle software inclusive of the Fusion Middleware suite of products and Oracle engineered systems

In 2013, CTM was appointed a distributor for Clavister, Google, i-Sprint, Thales and Zscaler, and its reseller community has grown by more than 25%, the company said in a statement, but did not give actual figures.
 
“Our efforts for 2014 and forward will primarily be centred on supporting resellers to move up the business value chain,” said CTM managing director Danny Chiam (pic).
 
“With the rising need and growth in big data, cloud and network optimisation, CTM has visions and initiatives to support our resellers towards sustainable business models,” he claimed.
 
CTM said its ongoing efforts include an avenue to provide an end-to-end support structure, which covers pre- and post-sales support, implementation services, training and joint efforts for market development and push programmes.
 
The CTI Group is one of the largest value-added distributors in Indonesia, and has been in business with IBM and Oracle for more than a decade, CTM claimed.
 
The group has invested in a large regional centre of excellence which acts as an integrated demo centre for IT infrastructure solutions that can be used by resellers and their customers for product demonstration showcases or to develop proofs of concept.
