Former HP veep Kelly Tan appointed SAP Singapore managing director

  • 20yr HP veteran held VP positions in different businesses at the US tech company
  • Now responsible for SAP business strategy development and operations in Singapore

Former HP veep Kelly Tan appointed SAP Singapore managing directorSAP Asia Pacific & Japan has announced the appointment of Kelly Tan (pic) as managing director of SAP Singapore, where she will be responsible for business strategy development and operations, reporting to François Lançon, president and managing director for SAP South-East Asia.
 
Tan replaces Kowshik Sriman, who will take on an expanded role as vice president, Top Deals, SAP South-East Asia, and who will continue to be based in Singapore, SAP said in a statement.
 
“SAP has been operating in Singapore since 1989, helping our customers run better in one of the world’s most competitive economies,” said Lançon.
 
“Kelly’s (Tan) appointment will provide the leadership to build on our strong growth trajectory and further drive our customer-focused innovation strategy in Singapore.
 
“I would also like to thank Kowshik for his outstanding leadership and contributions to SAP Singapore over the past seven years. He has been instrumental in accelerating business growth and establishing a strong foundation for SAP Singapore. I wish him every success in his new role,” he added.
 
Tan joins SAP from Hewlett-Packard, where she recently held the role of vice president and general manager, Enterprise Group, HP South-East Asia, while also serving as managing director of HP Singapore.
 
She had more than 20 years with HP, spanning a variety of regional and global roles. Previously, she was vice president of Worldwide Marketing for HP’s Graphics Solutions Business. She also held several other positions during her tenure at HP, including vice president of HP’s Imaging and Printing business in South-East Asia.
 
In these roles, she directed regional teams in growing revenue and market share while delivering innovative customer experiences and go-to-market synergies across business segments, SAP said.

Tan holds an MBA from University of Dubuque, Iowa, and a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Transportation and International Business from Ohio State University.
