Graeme Beardsell appointed Akamai APAC managing director

• 25yrs of management, sales, consulting, and product management experience
• Will oversee Akamai’s sales efforts throughout the region, out of Singapore

AKAMAI Technologies Inc has announced the appointment of Graeme Beardsell (pic) as managing director, Asia Pacific & Japan Markets.
 
Based in Singapore, he will lead and oversee all aspects of sales, business development and go-to-market strategies for the entire region, the company said in a statement.
 
He will report to Sanjay Singh, senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, at Akamai.
 
“Throughout his career, Graeme [Beardsell] has had an excellent track record on scaling businesses in Asia Pacific and is proven to be an effective leader, with a strong understanding of the technology landscape in Asia Pacific and beyond,” said Sanjay.
 
“I am confident in the experience and leadership he brings to Akamai, which will help lead the company to greater success,” he added.
 
Beardsell brings with him over 25 years of senior management, sales, consulting, and product management experience in both startups and established companies such as IBM, Salesforce.com, Experian and Solace Systems.
 
Prior to joining Akamai, he was the Asia Pacific senior vice president and general manager at Solace Systems. His diverse experience and track record of results will be extremely beneficial as Akamai gears up for continued growth in the region, the company said.
