Krishna Arani to helm NetApp in Asean, South Korea

  • 27yr industry veteran started his career with HCL, also worked at IBM
  • To drive growth and customer success in APAC’s most dynamic territories

Krishna Arani to helm NetApp in Asean, South KoreaSTORAGE and data management solutions provider NetApp has officially announced the appointment of Krishna Arani (pic) as vice president and managing director for Asean and South Korea.
 
He will lead the company's strategic planning, business development, marketing, and operations activities in these territories, reporting directly to Rick Scurfield, senior vice president and general manager, NetApp Asia Pacific, the company said in a statement.
 
“Krishna brings with him valuable experience backed by his past success in the channels and alliances divisions of NetApp,” said Scurfield.
 
“His business knowledge combined with the ability to develop and effectively roll out robust strategies are invaluable to this role.
 
“We are extremely excited for him and look forward to his leadership in enabling our customers in Asean and [South] Korea to address their data management and cloud deployment challenges,” he added.
 
A technology veteran of 27 years’ experience, Krishna, who is based in Singapore, started his career with HCL in India, holding several key positions in sales, marketing, and business development.
 
He also managed the server/ workstation business at IBM in Asia Pacific and Japan before moving on to help Siebel and Portal Software with their go-to-market strategies.
 
He joined NetApp in 2006 and was the Asia Pacific’s vice president of channels and marketing prior to this appointment.
 
“I look forward to the challenge that this new role will bring, especially with Asean and [South] Korea being dynamic growth regions for us as a company,” said Krishna.
 
“These [regions] are becoming increasingly savvy with their adoption of cloud technologies and I believe we are in the right place in terms of the expertise and solutions we can bring to help them address their unique growth needs,” he added.
