THE NEC Corporation of Malaysia has officially launched the Regional Retail Business Support Centre (RBSC) in Kuala Lumpur, which showcases its retail and business solutions.
The centre commenced actual operations in March under the purview of NEC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, the regional headquarters of NEC Corporation. The RSBC will be responsible for formulating regional strategy and to support sales, technological issues and human resource development, NEC said in a statement.
This was “a move that strengthens NEC’s solutions for local retail business, not just for Malaysia but also in the Asia Pacific region,” said Andrew Lee, managing director of NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
“In selecting Malaysia as a hub for regional retail business support, we hope to replicate the success that we have achieved in Japan and to strengthen the implementation of NEC’s global business strategy,” he added.
NEC has been operating in Malaysia for 25 years, its customers including several ministries including the Ministries of Education and Agriculture, the Income Tax Department, the Registrar of Companies and more.
The company said it aims to achieve RM500 million (US$166.69 million) in revenue in Malaysia over the next three years.
