Pikom Leadership Summit looks at breaching new frontiers

• Theme is ‘Breaching the New Frontiers in the Digital Age’
• C-level speakers from multinationals and local corporations

THE National ICT Association of Malaysia (Pikom) has announced that its annual Pikom Leadership Summit will take place Sept 17 at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.
 
Themed ‘Breaching the New Frontiers in the Digital Age,’ the summit will feature a group of C-level speakers from multinationals and local corporations, and is expected to attract more than 250 senior level decision-makers, Pikom said in a statement.
 
In conjunction with the summit, the ICT Strategic Review 2014/2015 book, part of an annual series from the association, with thought leadership articles from movers and shakers of the industry, would be unveiled at the event as well.
 
Meanwhile, the 6th edition of the Pikom Leadership Summit will feature case studies from both multinationals and local companies. There is also a series of panel discussions featuring chief executives on topics like the changing IT landscape in the digital age and digital entrepreneurship.
 
Key speakers include Rafidah Aziz, senior independent non-executive chairman at AirAsia Berhad; Dan E. Khoo, vice president of strategy Multimedia Development Corp; Goh Peng Ooi, executive chairman of the Silverlake Group and a Digital News Asia Digerati50; Jason Lo, chief executive officer (CEO) of TuneTalk; and Roshan Thiran, CEO of Leaderonomics.
 
“This year, the summit will see a gathering of C-levels with great insights on what’s coming in the digital space,” said Pikom chairman Cheah Kok Hoong (pic).
 
“Ultimately, through this summit, we hope businesses in the country would realise the driving force of technology in this digital age and be ready to leverage on the next wave,” he added.
