Tibco Software Inc, a global leader in enterprise data announces the appointment of Tho Yeong Chien as regional vice president, Southeast Asia and Greater China.
Based in Singapore, Tho is responsible for Tibco's overall business growth in the region and driving customer success.
In his new role, Tho will direct the sales function through strategic go-to-market plans that will expand Tibco's footprint in Asia, strengthen partnerships, and foster deeper customer engagements, Tibco said in a statement.
“Tho brings extensive enterprise software experience, including proven success in sales leadership across several innovative organisations,” said Nick Lim, general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan, Tibco.
“I know he will be instrumental in driving sustained growth for Southeast Asia and Greater China, supporting our customers as they tap the power of data to make faster, smarter decisions,” Lim added.
TIbco said Tho has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, and is a hands-on sales leader with a focus on the enterprise software technology sector.
His regional experience and in-depth knowledge of the Asia market, as well as his ability to lead teams across the region, continue to drive Tibco's success in Southeast Asia and Greater China, it said.
Prior to Tibco, Tho led sales efforts for many leading software vendors, including Serena Software (now Micro Focus), Tripwire, and CA Technologies (now Broadcom).
More recently, he helped several technology startups, such as Resolve Systems, Privitar, and Protegrity, establish their presence in Asia and drive revenue growth, Tibco said.
Tho has also helped customers across Asia Pacific embrace the value of cloud, data analytics, and business intelligence, it added.
“Organisations today must pivot to digital or risk falling behind – it’s no longer an option, but a requirement. Being data-driven is mainstream now, and it brings a unique set of challenges as well as opportunities for enterprises in the region,” said Tho.
“I’m excited to be part of the Tibco team and support our customers through their digital transformation journeys.”
