Kaspersky gets new MD for APAC

• Joined the company in 2008 as director of Asia Pacific operations
• To focus on B2C market share as well as channel and B2B engagement

CYBERSECURITY company Kaspersky Lab has announced the appointment of Maxim Mitrokhin (pic) as managing director of Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific.
 
Based in Singapore, he will spearhead the company’s growth strategy in the region, Kaspersky Lab said in a statement.
 
Having joined the company in 2008 as the director of operations in Asia Pacific, Mitrokhin is now responsible for continuing Kaspersky Lab’s business growth in the region, with a focus on reinforcing B2C (business-to-consumer) market share, as well as driving channel engagements and development in the B2B (business-to-business) sector.
 
“Kaspersky Lab’s Asia Pacific team is in top gear, as we take on the challenge of maintaining growth in the B2C market as well as expanding our enterprise security portfolio in the region,” said chief business officer Garry Kondakov.
 
“I am confident that his wealth of operational expertise and thorough understanding of the Kaspersky Lab proposition will push development forward in the SMB (small and medium business) and enterprise markets and drive new initiatives and business growth,” he added.
 
Prior to joining Kaspersky Lab, Mitrokhin held senior leadership roles at several high-growth companies including American Power Conversion and USP CompuLink.
 
“Our evolving portfolio of B2B products and business solutions combined with the strength of our channel network puts us in a great position to explore and exploit the full potential of the Asia Pacific market,” said Mitrokhin.
