Maxis offers Galaxy SIII, iPhone 4S to MOC members

• Members can purchase smartphones at lower prices
• Offer valued for a limited time only, have to subscribe to data plan

MAXIS is offering its Maxis One Club (MOC) members the chance to own the Samsung Galaxy SIII and the Apple iPhone 4S for RM599 (US$192). The offer is valid from June 9 to 24 and is available at all Maxis Centers and participating Maxis Exclusive Partner stores nationwide, the company said in a statement.

To qualify for the Samsung Galaxy SIII deal though, members would need to commit to the ValuePlus 150 plan and above with a 1GB data plan for 24 months, Maxis said. MOC members who are interested in the iPhone 4S (16GB) need to sign up for the iValue 2 plan for 24 months.

“Maxis has invested in a suite of privileges and rewards for its valued MOC members since we launched the program in 2002," said Suren J Amarasekera, Maxis’ joint chief operating officer. "This exclusive club is in its 10th year now, having grown steadily over the years, and we are extremely proud to be able to reward our members for their loyalty with these two exclusive offers."
 

Maxis said that smartphones today have grown into "super smartphones," with the rapid advancement in technological capabilities. Out of the millions of smartphone users, over one-third use "super smartphones" that include the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy.

The company said that with this exclusive offer to its MOC members backed by its data packages, the company will be able to further extend the adoption of these devices in Malaysia.

The MOC offers priority customer service, special rewards and affinity programs. Customers who have been with Maxis (postpaid) for more than a year with a minimum monthly commitment of RM150 and above are automatically upgraded to Maxis One Club member status.
