Acer assembles three Infinity War Special Edition laptops

Acer has announced three new Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War special edition laptops that are released in conjunction with one of the biggest blockbuster movies of 2018.
The lineup includes limited edition laptops that feature designs influenced by Captain America, Thanos and Iron Man, each exhibiting the characteristics of the heroes and villains.
Decked in striking blue, the aluminium covered laptop that embodies the spirit of Captain America is the Acer Aspire 6. It comes powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 4GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 16GB) along with a 1TB hard disk.
Packing Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB DDR5 graphics accompanied by Dolby Audio Premium and Acer’s TrueHarmony audio, this 15.6-inch Full HD screen laptop is perfectly attuned for entertainment.
The Aspire 6 - Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Captain America Edition is priced at US$848 (RM3,299).
Meanwhile, power hungry users who seek ultimate dominance can look to the villain Thanos’ special edition Nitro 5 gaming laptop. The top lid has a black matte chassis that hints an outline of the mad titan himself.
The Nitro 5’s comes equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 graphics while it has a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-73000HQ processor supported by 8GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 16GB). In addition, it features dual fans with Acer Coolboost technology for heightened speeds while keeping the laptop cool even under heavy load.
Storage wise it comes with a 128GB solid state drive that is paired with a 1TB hard disk. A Gigabit Ethernet port is claimed to deliver fast and reliable wired connection, while the 802.11ac 2x2 MU-MIMO wireless technology hooks up for fast wireless connectivity.
Just like the Captain America edition, it has a 15.6-inch Full HD screen paired with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer’s TrueHarmony audio.
The Nitro 5 - Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Thanos Edition is priced at US$1,105 (RM4,299).
Last but not least, the Acer Swift 3 gets a sporty red makeover just like the hero Iron Man. Just like the high flying armoured hero, it has a slim and light design measuring at 17.9mm in height and weighing 1.6kg only.
The unique glowing Arc Reactor on the top cover even lights up when in use. On the inside, it has an 8th Generation Intel i5-8250U processor, 8GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB DDR5.
It is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life that should offer enough juice to get users through the day. Apart from featuring a 14-inch FullHD IPS anti-glare display, it also has a backlit keyboard and spacious touchpad with ample room for navigating and scrolling.
The Swift 4- Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Iron Man Edition is priced at US$1,130 (RM4,399).
All three special edition laptops are available for purchase at selected Acer resellers nationwide. Acer is also giving away Avengers 16GB USB flash drives and an Acer premium backpack said to be worth RM399 for any purchase of the laptops from April 17 to June 30.
