Acer launches new TravelMate and Chromebook devices

 

ACER Malaysia has extended its portfolio of business and education products to include the new TravelMate notebooks and Chromebook devices.

Designed as dependable laptops for business professionals on the go, Acer’s X3410 and P2 series meet the needs of two segments of the market.

For the demanding professional who needs the power to run multiple apps at once, there is the TravelMate X3410 that features up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and up to 512GB Solid State Drive (SSD) storage.

It has a USB Type-C charging port that not only helps charge the notebook but also enables the fast data transfer of data at up to 5Gbps.

For those looking for a notebook that can carry out daily tasks needed to run small and medium businesses, the P2 series offers 4GB DDR4 of RAM and can be configured up to 32GB of RAM. Storage wise, the P2 series can be configured for 256GB SSD or a 1TB hard drive.

 

Acer launches new TravelMate and Chromebook devices

 

 The defining feature of the new TravelMate notebooks is their long lasting 15-hour battery life, allowing users to get all-day productivity from a single charge.

Acer has also included a large precision touchpad that is paired with multi-gesture capability.

They come a Full HD display that feature Acer’s BluelightShield and ComfyView to protect eyes when browsing the web. The devices also come with a 180-degree hinge allowing it to open to a flat position for increased flexibility when you need to share a presentation.

The Acer TravelMate P2 series is available now and is priced from US$616 (RM2,499) onwards. Meanwhile, the TravelMate X series starts at US$985 (RM3,999) and will only be available from September.

Acer also introduced a new Chromebook Spin 11 convertible notebook. Sporting a 11-inch HD IPS display, the Spin 11 uses Acer’s 360 degree dual-torque hinge design that allows the device to be used in four forms: tablet, tent, laptop or display.

To enhance its touch capabilities the Spin comes bundled with a Wacom EMR stylus, which does not need to be charged for use.

The Spin 11 comes with two cameras, an Acer HD webcam and a second camera with a 88-degree wide field of view.

It comes powered by an Intel Celeron quad-core processor N3450 supported with up to 8GB of memory and up to 64GB of on-board storage.

Equipped with two USB Type-C ports, it can be used to charge the device and transfer data. Acer claims the Spin 11 can last up to 10 hours on a single charge and it supports Google Play, opening it to over two million Android apps.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is available now and will be priced from US$345 (RM1,399).
