Along with Penang's new initiative of building a healthy e-sports scene among the youth, ROG aims to provide multiple platforms such as ROG Masters, ROG Join The Republic, and the new ROG Conquest for Malaysian gameing enthusiasts to gather and witness the journey of each champion.
“Malaysian e-sports players have been at the forefront of major international competitions. A focused state championship will have the necessary programmes to accommodate the growing talent pool in each state,” Asus Malaysia country manager Leo Tseng said.
“Republic of Gamers has been dedicated to building hardware that helps gamers play their best, and we are proud to be part of local aspiring gamers' journey's and to support the growth of the local e-sports community.” he said.
Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) is one of the event organisers and it is supported by the Penang ICT Association (PICTA).

E-sports are viewed as an opportunity for our youth to be more actively involved in the science and technology sector; while encouraging them to think scientifically and act physically," said PYDC chief executive officer Teng Kok Liang.
