Celcom extends EasyPhone plan to prepaid customers

SEARCHING for a new smartphone? Celcom recently introduced its new EasyPhone plan to enable its subscribers to easily own a smartphone.
The new plan, which was launched in partnership with Aeon Credit Service, enables subscribers to own a smartphone with a 24-month instalment plan for as low as RM74 per month.
Previously, the instalment plan was only available to postpaid customers but has now been extended to prepaid customers.
The EasyPhone plan offers a choice of over 30 models of smartphones ranging from Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi as well as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 series.
Subscribers to the plan can own any of the smartphones on offer even if they don’t have a credit card. There is also no upfront payment. They will enjoy RM30 in monthly RM30 airtime every month during the 24-month instalment period.
For example, subscribers can own a Samsung Galaxy S8+ for as low as RM165 per month or the Huawei P10 Plus for RM135 per month.
“EasyPhone is the first plan of its kind in the market that enables the easy ownership of smartphones for prepaid customers. It is the perfect option for tech-savvy customers who want to own smartphones without being burdened with the high cost of owning the latest devices,” said Celcom Axiata chief marketing officer Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin.
He added that users can easily apply for their new smartphone via Celcom’s digital application portal or the nearest Blue Cube outlet. They are required to provide supporting documentation including information on their employment status, for the application.
